It was a pleasure to work with Dr Nazurah, the founder of Ola Scarves and listening to her vision of what the brand stood for. Dr Nazurah is a medical doctor by day, and a passionate business owner on the side. Plagued by the inflexibility of the last CMS her shop was hosted on, she decided to make the move to WordPress, knowing that she can have greater control of how she wanted to run her online business.
We started work on the branding, which included the logo and brand colours. We worked together to discuss not only how the site should look “Zara-esque, but for scarves”, but also how the site should work. Behind the facade, there lies a very complex backend handling memberships, a complex discount system, subscription service, a loyalty point system called Ola Points and more.

While studying the other competitors in the same industry, it was clear to us that what was lacking was a clean and modern website. This was where we felt that our client could stand out amongst the competition. We also focused on streamlining the way we would bring website visitors through awareness, consideration, and then making the call-to-action.
Different ways to shop
We explored multiple avenues for visitors to shop. First would be picking through the categories. And secondly, would be the quick shop hotbar we added to the side. It’s non-invasive and provides a cool and fun alternative for users to look for products!
